Safeguarding
We seek to honour the dignity of human life and have high regard for each individual person as a creation in the image of God. We therefore aim to deliver the highest possible quality of care to everyone, especially our children, young people, and adults with care and support needs.
Welcome Church is committed to safeguarding children, young people, and adults with care and support needs. We consider that everyone’s safety and well being is of paramount importance. We expect all who attend Welcome Church, especially leaders, trustees and all who work with children, young people, or adults with care and support needs, to do their part to keep them safe and cared for in a way which upholds the dignity and value of the individual.
Welcome Church operates safeguarding policies and procedures that cover children, young people and adults with care and support needs. We expect workers to keep to the relevant policies and we give training and put in place oversight to ensure this happens. We follow a safe recruiting process for paid and volunteer workers, including DBS checks for those who are aged 18 and above.
If you have any concerns regarding the safety of a child, young person or adult with care and support needs please speak to a member of our safeguarding team.
